The cost of the BIKE is not the issue.....THE issue is INSURANCE for a 16-22 y/ o with no experience. EXPECT TO PAY $2000-3000 A YEAR FOR INSURANCE until around the age of 22. Call Geico & Progressive to get quotes on insurance before you buy the bike, ask for rates with and without the Motorcycle Safety Foundation's Riders' Safety Training Certificate..... THEN....take the MSF Course.....THEN....if you can afford to pay every year, what you paid for the bike....buy the bike, get insurance and ride. msf-usa.org/

'08 GSX-R 750 for $2,500? It's a scam bro. I'm willing to bet there's no chance in Hell the deal will turn out the way you expect it to. If it's legit? Buy it, bail on it for $5,000, and pocket the money you made. You will end up with a free 250 Ninja. But you know what? It isn't likely legit.

Ask yourself who would sell a 6 thousand dollar bike for 2500. The answer is no one. It is a scam. Even if it isnt, it is going to cost you 2 grand a year to insure anyway. Dirt bikes mean nothing on the street, you may have the mechanics of riding, but you have no idea about the environment of the road. Go take the MSF, get a ninja 500, and say alive.
