Question: What are the positions of the petcock on a motorcycle fuel tank?

AIH has their own petcock. There is NO reserve, everyone else is wrong. Up or down is OFF. Forward is one tank side, back is the other tank side. General rule of thumb for your bike is to fill up every 100-125 miles. |

Look at it, with a magnifying glass if necessary, and there should be words on there stating; on, off, res. An ironhorse chopper is made up of aftermarket parts. could be a pingel petcock or another. you can get them with different settings such as 1 will have on all the way to one side, and another will have 'on' all the way to the other. Get down there and read it. hope this helps |

The standard for all valves is if the switch is in line with the pipe it's open. If the switch is crossways to pipe, it's closed. |
