Question: What does it mean when your motorcycle is leaking water?

I Have a Honda Shadow Spirit 750 and it's leaking water. I haven't rode it untill today but have been starting it. So after I went for a ride today, I noticed it was leaking because I could see the coolant on the floor.

Either you have: * Washed it * Driven in the rain * Driven in a lake For more serious reasons, I can only think of the radiator being leaky.

Check all the lines around your radiator. Some times the vibration can wiggle the loose. just tighten the clamps with most likely a screw driver.

It has a bladder problem, maybe a urinary tract infection. Take it to a urologist and see if it needs meds. Maybe it has clap, so get it tested.

Don't crank it for a few days and let the excess water dry and try to pin point where its coming from. If there is no sign of water after you let it dry for a couple days crank the bike again and look. It's probably just a radiator hose. Check all the rubber hoses coming out of the engine.

Did you see any coolant on the floor before you left or did you notice it when you got back from your ride? Did the coolant appear after the bike had been sitting for a while or right away after you parked? Did you notice if the temp gauge was reading hot? It could be that your bike was running a bit hot and the coolant came out through the overflow. But do check all hose connections to be sure.

Locate the source, it could be overfilled or it could be a perished (or loose) hose, it could be more serious than that. Dry everything then use a paper towel to track down the source.
