Question: I am trying to sell my honda 300ex and get a 400 or a 450 honda. which one is a better overall quad?

Well to put it this way, the 400ex is pretty much the engine off an xr400 and made for light racing and trails. the 450 is a tuned race machine that will destroy the track, but not the trail

If you are talking about a recent machine from honda make sure that it has reverse. I believe that the 450r does not have a reverse function as it is intended for racing not trail riding. You would not believe how much you miss reverse when you don't have it.
