(Posted by: knoerr3232 on 2010-03-03 08:41:26)

I didn't realize this posted with the new layout...I need to know what specific seat is good for long rides. I was told the Sundowner by Harley, but I am willing to go with other companies..I just don't know what seat specifically..any help? Thanks for the previous advice btw. I have a 2009 883L sporty...I am thinking the regal duke???? Ok Guys...I went with the Mustang Regal Duke, it kinda has a pillowy top and I was told its good for long hauls...Please tell me I made the right decision??? Thanks so much for all the advice!!!!!

STAY AWAY FROM CORBIN!!!......they are NOT comfortable for long rides. Corbin uses a VERY HARD foam and leather covering....it's like riding on a cinder block. Look into Mustang, Saddlemen, Le Pera mustangseats.com/ cart/ saddlemen.com/ news/ lepera.com/

Harley or any manufacture does not make a good seat. Try corbin or mustang.

Corbin, Danny Gray, La Pera, Mustang, or Saddleman.

I've always liked Mustang myself

It depends a lot on the model of the bike.A stock fatboy seat would be more comfortable than any aftermarket seat for a sportster.

The old large stock seat with the long spring in seat post from 1950s to 1970s. Still used on a couple models with slight change but since it is basically a solo rider seat the passengers complain and a less comfortable for the rider dual seat is sold more.

Ditto what vtwin said except that lepara is cheap with the padding for touring, they make them too thin
