so i never riden a motorcycle but i want to starti have no idea what motorcycles are good and which are bad im sure like cars there are some that are worth the money and some that are crap can anyone gimme a list of bikes that are worth buying and what to look for in a bike im 18 so i would like a sport bikei went to sign up for bike classes so im going to learn woot
Can i register my 150cc moped as a moped or do I need a motorcycle license in MICHIGAN?

I really love James Dean's 1955 Triumph Trophy. I looked at the Triumph site and it comes down to the scrambler or Bonneville, just looking for some opinions. Also it only shows the past two years model range and neither year has the same color and i really want that same bluish color maybe theres an older model with it thats easy to get?

Getting pulled over with only a motorcycle permitt?
Hey i have my motorcycle permitt and registration insurance and all that good stuff but i do not have my actual license for a motorcycle yet. i live in minnesota and the rules are have to wear a helmet, nobody on the back, no freeway and no nighttime. i was just curious what happens if you were to get pulled over on the freeway with only a permitt? thanksI dont want to do it but i might have to every once in a while for work before my license test date
Weird problem with motorcycle?
When I started my bike up after winter storage, it needed a little juice from my car and it came to life. but after taking the jumper cables off, the lights start flickering and the engine starts stuttering. I know this sounds like a weak battery, but the weird thing is that while its in neutral and I apply either the front or back brakes its rpm goes up slightly and stays constant. I dont know why an extra load on the battery would make it run normal. needless to say, when I shut it off the battery was completely dead.
I'm about to change my motorcycle's oil.. Is there anything else I should do that would be good for it?
I'm changing the oil and putting in a new filter. I was wondering if there's anything else I can do that might clean the engine out a little, or really anything that will be good for my bike. It's a '96 CBR900RRYa I just flushed the radiator.. Need to get some water wetter to add.That's a good idea about the brake fluid, I'll probably do it when I get new pads.Thanks I have a manual, but I figured there might be some more knowledge out there beside's what the book says.

I know many ride for fun. I have met people whom have told me they get up to 45 mpg. On their motorcycles and use them for much of the travel they do. the goal of energy independance is appealing to me. I also would like to know if bikers have made a shift in using other textiles than leather for protection. It seems that could be used as another great way in protecting our environment.
What is a good street legal dual sport motorcycle? I am very new to motorcycling.?
I am looking for a good street legal dual sport motorcycle? I don't know anything about motorcycles, and I already know about safety classes that I can take before going for my license and riding. I am looking for something that can take me to work and back going 50 miles and hour tops and I don't want to spend to much. I realize that since I am new to riding, I should go with used so I have no problem with that. I know i'll drop it here and there. I would also like the bike to be able to at least go 65 no problem if I so choose to go on the highway. That isn't a necessity if it rings up the price over 2000. I would really like it if it is less that 1000. If you know of any good bikes that meet the qualifications please let me know. Used isn't a problem, working is. I need it to take me from point A to point B without hiccups. Can not afford to be late to work, because I had to walk the .... thing. this question was re asked, because i accidentally put it in cycling, bikers...etc..
Will doing burnouts ruin my motorcycle tire?
I want to try one, but I am worried that it will ruin the tire. Just one cant hurt can it?
Motorcycle stalls without choke EX500?
I just bought my first bike the other day, It's a 2003 Kawasaki Ninja EX500 with about 6000 miles on it. I don't really know too much about bikes but here is what happens. First of all I live in MA and it's still pretty cold here so maybe this has somthing to do with whats happening.The bike starts up just fine with the choke about 3 4 on. When it warms up I can close the choke until it is about 1 4 open, any more and it stalls if I let off the throttle. It seems like that is the limit I can ride around and it seems to run ok like that but I cannot shut the choke all the way.Is this normal?If not what could be the problem? Should I ajust the Idle screw so it idles at 1200 rps with the choke fully closed?
Motorcycle question please help?
i am looking to get my first motorcycle, i am twenty and my parents say i cant start off on a crotch rocket. can u suggest some good sites to find bikes on and also good starting bikes. my range is about 2500 dollars but a little above or below is fine. i am looking for something like an yamaha enduro or something like that. when i search for dirt bikes like those how do i tell if there street legal or not and stuff like that. any help will be appreciated
